About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Construction Security Manager for a contract pending award to provide Naval Support Activities in Norfolk, VA. The Construction Security Manager (CSM) shall be responsible for implementing, managing, and overseeing all security measures related to the construction of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The CSM, otherwise called the Site Security Manager (SSM), shall ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, DoD policies, and project-specific security requirements throughout the duration of the project. Contingent on Contract Award/Position funding Responsibilities include: Develop, maintain, and enforce the Construction Security Plan (CSP) to ensure all physical, personnel, and procedural security measures are met. Oversee access control and badging operations, including verification of personnel clearances, vehicle and material entry/exit, and escort requirements for uncleared workers. Conduct daily inspections of construction areas, materials deliveries, and waste removal to prevent unauthorized devices, materials, or tampering. Supervise and train construction security personnel, ensuring adherence to required procedures and reporting responsibilities. Serve as the primary security liaison with the Government, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met. Prepare and submit daily activity logs, incident reports, inspection findings, and other required security documentation to the Government. Assist with security-related documentation, walk-throughs, and inspections required for SCIF accreditation and final acceptance. Develop and implement procedures for responding to security incidents, breaches, or emergencies during construction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in construction security, physical security, or related roles supporting DoW or Navy projects.
  • ICD 705 or equivalent SCIF security training
  • DoW Security Manager / Construction Security training courses
  • Extensive proven experience managing construction security on classified or sensitive facilities will be considered in lieu of formal certifications.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
