We are seeking an experienced Scheduler/Dispatcher to oversee daily dispatching of crews and associated duties. This position is located in Livermore, CA. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and positive, who will remain with the company long term and be part of our future growth and success. We are a solid company that has been in business for more than 25 years. The work environment is busy but fun. We have a dedicated team that is passionate about our company. We are dispatching up to 9 EC crews and 5 Street Sweeping crews each day. The salary is competitive, paid holidays, vacation, medical, dental and 401K plans. Bilingual (Spanish) is important. EROSION CONTROL, STREET SWEEPING & DEWATERING SCHEDULING Take scheduling calls from clients and PMs throughout the workday Add scheduling call-ins to master schedule. Contact PM if more info needed ($ or scope) Adjust schedule and check for changes multiple times. (deleted jobs, scope changes) Create Daily dispatch of schedule with Truck/Trailer #’s, crews & priority Confirm needed equipment and materials are on hand Include, scope, details, maps and materials with jobs tags Distribute schedule to crews and office (new format) Use the same crew for multi day or specialized jobs whenever possible Assign staggered start times – minimize daily texts Order/call-off rental equipment when needed Order Rock when needed Review daily job tags & interview crews for missing details. Turn in completed job tags daily Keep OT to less than 1 hour/man per day. Less than 1.5 hours/street sweeper driver per day Report unfinished jobs to PM and roll to next day MANAGE MATERIAL INVENTORY Track erosion BMP inventory multiple times per week Order materials as needed to stay above summer/winter minimums Order Dewatering Materials MANAGE TOOLS & EQUIPMENT Track inventory on small tools i.e. picks, shovels, hammers, etc. Track inventory and readiness on trenchers, pumps, hoses, etc. Track vehicle, vactor, street sweeper & trailer readiness GENERAL Manage quick and efficient changes to daily schedule and routine Participate in meetings as needed Provide continuing Customer Service Keep Daily Attendance Log Keep Post-con Log SAFETY Maintain required safety certifications are current (First Aid, CPR, etc.) Maintain/up-date All safety manuals- IIPP, SDS sheets, fleet safety program etc. Fulfill IIPP and SDS requests from clients Monitor/enforce daily PPE use in the yard, warehouse and on the jobsite
