The Job: As a Trades Specialist, you’ll be part of our Commercial Construction field sales team working as a field-based employee in Philadelphia, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education.
  • 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in construction supplies, with a proven record of results and experience selling to high-level executives and jobsite directors preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 50% within your territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets by representing DEWALT, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and other SBD brands to end-user customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and service solutions.
  • Manage CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs for your assigned user responsibilities.
  • Mentor your local market team on end-user development, including identifying key contacts and aligning with local market teams and distributors.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool to track activities, communicate results, and streamline processes.
  • Communicate successes and challenges to drive continuous improvement with key accounts and opportunities.
  • Travel within your territory (up to 50%) to engage with partners and customers.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of SBD products, programs, and market trends.
  • Support the execution of local and divisional market goals and objectives.
