About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Safety and Health Manager, supporting TOS II construction activities at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma TN. The Construction Safety Manager will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work primarily day shift with regularly scheduled weekend work. Shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. Typical shifts required are 10-hour days with potential for extended shift work and may require on-call availability outside of scheduled working hours.

Requirements

  • Occupational Health and Safety degree or minimum of 10 of progressive and relevant construction related experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to be used in performing training, safety presentations, and management briefings.

  • Experience working with wage-based construction workforce .

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for construction safety oversight and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and train personnel to site specific programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and conduct pre-job briefings for multidiscipline workforce.
  • Conduct site safety audits and inspections.
  • Conduct incident investigations and fulfill company and customer reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company substance abuse testing program.
  • Assist Complete assignments to adhere to long-term goals set by management.
  • Select and maintain required PPE for construction activities.
  • Maintain inventory of operational atmospheric monitoring equipment and other safety related devices.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times.
