Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Manager to ensure that every team member on our jobsites is safe and secure. This position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, investigate and prevent accidents, analyze risks, and handle emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

  • Lead and motivate a team of safety professionals on our jobsite, finding ways to help each grow and succeed
  • Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and other trade partners
  • Conduct various jobsite trainings for team members, and ensure that all training records are logged and maintained
  • Investigate and document all injuries, incidents, and near misses; identify the root cause(s); and implement corrective actions
  • Evaluate and ensure proper procedures for crane lifts, excavations, electrical, and other high-risk activities
  • Maintain daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, issues, and other relevant items
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry
  • You have certification in First Aid/CPR
  • You have completed the OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards course for the Construction Industry
  • You have completed an OSHA 30-hour construction training course
  • You have your CHST certification or are willing/eligible to sit for it
  • You are an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
  • You have experience in electrical construction
