About The Position

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee safety for the on-site roofing contractor, specifically a crew of 50 installing roofing membrane and sheet metal. This role involves daily tasks such as signing off on scaffolding, filling out PTPs, enforcing site safety guidelines, ensuring the crew works safely, and attending weekly safety meetings. The safety person is also expected to help shape the safety program.

Requirements

• BCSP- CHST or CSP
• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety for the on-site roofing contractor
• Oversight of a crew of 50 installing roofing membrane and sheet metal
• Signing off on scaffolding each morning
• Filling out PTPs
• Enforcing site safety guidelines and protocols
• Keeping crew working safely
• Attending weekly safety meetings
• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Monitor OSHA compliance
• Upload documentation into Procore
• Daily safety reports
• Track workforce safety compliance
• Maintain safety logs and compliance records
• Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
• Help shape the safety program

Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $56/hr
• Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly
