Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent trade experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating or construction risk management, including execution of multiple projects in a CRM role.
  • Experience supporting or leading large and complex pursuits across multiple delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, planning, sequencing, scheduling, and constructability.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract terms with the ability to identify and mitigate commercial and execution risk.
  • Experience working in self-perform environments with an understanding of productivity and cost drivers.
  • Proven ability to analyze cost reports, forecasts, and historical data to inform pricing and risk strategies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and engage with owners and consultants.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, develop win strategies, and enhance project fee performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal estimating, scheduling, and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze contract documents and specifications for hard bid, construction management, and design-build projects to identify risks, opportunities, bonding, insurance, and commercial requirements.
  • Develop and reconcile win and fee strategies for large or complex pursuits throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead development of conceptual estimates and design-build submissions for complex projects and key clients.
  • Develop and monitor pursuit schedules, coordinating with estimating, operations, and external partners as required.
  • Manage trade contractor prequalification and recommendation processes in collaboration with estimating and operations teams.
  • Lead design development and constructability reviews to ensure alignment with budgets, schedules, code compliance, and trade scope completeness.
  • Prepare post-award risk analysis reports, including mitigation strategies and alternative means and methods.
  • Review trade contracts and major purchase orders for completeness and accuracy prior to issuance.
  • Perform detailed project forecast reviews and advise on cost, schedule, and risk trends.
  • Support internal district, regional, and corporate reviews and final bid submissions as required.
