Requirements

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good communication skills for interacting with project managers, contractors, and the public.
Basic math skills for measurements and estimations.
Flexibility to move between different project sites and locations.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with construction, surveying, or CAD software is a plus, but NOT required.

Responsibilities

Construction review of sewer, water, and paving construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications and plans.
Use measuring tools to verify materials, line, elevations, grade, etc.
Maintain accurate daily records and update project documentation using electronic reporting software.
Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and city staff to keep projects on track.
Respond to public inquiries and help address construction-related concerns.
Work outdoors on real-world infrastructure projects that improve communities.
