Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Construction Representative for heavy civil construction projects. Candidate must have experience inspecting heavy civil construction projects that may include roadway drainage, grading, surfacing and bridges. Candidate must be able to read and understand construction plans and specifications; inspect all aspects of ongoing construction work to verify conformance to the construction contract documents; clearly communicate (orally and written) with Contractor, Owner, and Engineering personnel. Review and understand submittals and other construction documentation; determine quantities of work items installed and review relate contractor pay applications; and complete an electronic daily construction report clearly documenting daily construction and related activities. Experience with Word and Excel is necessary. The job will require the ability to climb ladders, lift light loads and work 40-50 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required.
