About The Position

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Quality Manager for our exciting construction project in Chicago, IL. Oversees the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained. Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends. Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. May have budget responsibilities. Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results. In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.

Requirements

  • BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum.
  • 8 years of construction quality control experience or equivalent.
  • OSHA 30 Level I and II certifications.
  • Cement and Asphalt, aggregate certifications preferred.
  • Quality Management strategic planning and execution experience.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Experience with subcontractor oversight, selection, and negotiation.
  • Construction documentation experience.
  • Strong report writing and information dissemination proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of the construction delivery process.
  • Strong background in Construction Documents and Submittals.
  • Experience with ASTM standards and construction testing procedures.
  • Experience in all construction-related trades, specifically building envelopes, life safety, and flooring.
  • MEP+FP knowledge is a plus.

  • PE preferred.
