About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a "Construction Quality Engineer" for one of their clients in St. Louis, MO, a global leader in business and technology services. This is a 6-month contract position. The Construction Quality Engineer will oversee and ensure the quality of construction activities, materials, and processes. The role involves monitoring contractor work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial preferred), Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction QA/QC
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or QMP
• Experience in Life Sciences, GMP, or clean room construction projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and quality standards
• Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and material submittals
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and engineers to resolve quality issues
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain detailed quality records, reports, and documentation
• Provide training and guidance on QA/QC processes to project teams
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
