About The Position

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a qualified Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our Field Operations team for projects based in Pensacola, Florida and the surrounding areas. Projects are located on an active military base. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a project-specific quality control plan that complies with all contractual obligations. Key duties include overseeing implementation of quality standards, ensuring accurate and timely completion of project documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships to support overall satisfaction. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. Highly preferred candidates will have hands-on experience with medium/high voltage systems. Past experience working on projects such as, transformer replacements, data centers, PV farms, or base infrastructure/power distribution environments is preferred. While candidates local to the project area may be prioritized, this position requires full-time, on-site presence and may involve relocation or travel depending on project needs.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required; familiarity with RMS/QCS systems preferred (training available)
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in commercial construction (e.g., Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or QC Manager), including at least 2 years in a Quality Control Manager role
  • EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications required (training can be provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial), Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and training may be considered
  • Additional certifications or licenses related to specialty inspections are highly desirable
  • LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate credentials are a plus
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Build, and RMS/QCS is preferred
