We are seeking a Construction Project Superintendent to join our field department in Fort Myers. The Superintendent’s responsibility is to supervise the construction of a project, or projects, and to complete the work with a high degree of quality, on schedule, and within the budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and/or equivalent industry related degree.
  • At least 5 years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
  • An understanding of construction means and methods.
  • Experience reading plans and specifications.
  • Superior organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore or equivalent, Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to stand alone on projects.
  • Ability to positively contribute in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Procore or equivalent software.
  • A can-do attitude and a personal sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and Coordination of all subcontractors, vendors, consultants, etc.
  • Team Management and Mentorship.
  • Ensure all subcontractors adhere to safety policies and all OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure all quality control standards are met.
  • Coordination of all required inspections.
  • Ensure the project stays on schedule. Provide schedule updates using Microsoft Project and 3 week look ahead schedules.
  • Attend all OAC meetings.
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Complete daily logs and take progress photos.
  • Maintain good relationships with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors.
