About The Position

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast. GMC is seeking a Construction Project Representative to join our South Carolina teams and provide support on-going projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on water/wastewater construction projects. Foundational Builds on field experience with expectation to make significant contributions to the team efforts for the benefit of the client Upholds the firm's values and standards for project delivery and client management Expresses understanding of quality assurance while observing the progress of construction projects Acts as directed by and und er supervision of the Project Engineer  Technical Reviews pay requests, submittals, field tests and other contract documents related to construction Conducts on-site observations of contractor's work to assist in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with contract documents Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and awareness of plans and specifications, as well as the General Conditions of contracts Demonstrates thorough understanding of regulatory requirements from different local, regional, state and federal agencies Familiarity with general survey drafting standards and general construction drawing standards Ability to apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision Visit construction sites to observe progress and to determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications QN QC 1. Executes cross discipline checks and coordination 2. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work outside and on job sites and rights-of-way of varying topography and condition
  • Construction Representatives will be expected to travel to various work sites to perform field work
  • Company cars and/or rental vehicles shall be utilized to travel between work sites

Responsibilities

  • Reviews pay requests, submittals, field tests and other contract documents related to construction
