About The Position

The Construction Project Manager ensures all Saxbys cafe construction projects are completed on time, on budget, and in a collaborative manner that satisfies all stakeholders. This role serves as the bridge between design, construction, and operations teams to ensure alignment with and advocacy for Saxbys construction standards and mission while delivering exceptional cafe environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in construction management or architecture
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion
  • Experience with project management software (Procore, Monday.com, Airtable, Gantt charts preferred)
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Working knowledge of construction techniques, terminology and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or related field
  • Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission and Core Values in all daily activities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to stoop and kneel
  • Push, pull, lift or carry up to 35 lbs
  • Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps

  • Construction experience in food & beverage industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete construction lifecycle from pre-construction capital estimates through project closeout, including bid processes, schedule management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Saxbys equipment packages, reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals while fielding equipment-related questions from engineers, architects, contractors, and installers.
  • Conduct regular site visits, create punch lists, manage project closeouts, and collaborate with Product, Accounting, and Operations teams to complete health department requirements and ensure successful cafe turnovers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with preferred vendors for owner-supplied FF&E and finishes while identifying opportunities to improve project efficiencies, reduce costs, and optimize timelines.
  • Lead end-to-end management of cafe renovation projects and large-scale repair initiatives that arise across the portfolio.
