About The Position

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the following; Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion. Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites. Develop and adhere to budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and quality control. Review final plans and specifications for bidding. Collaborate with project architects, designers, engineers, and other consultants. Ensure the project requirements of Section 3 and goals of M.B.E. are met. Ensure the project requirements of Davis-Bacon wages are met. Communicates with partners and delivers internal project progress reports Ensure quality work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes. Review, negotiate and manage all aspects of construction contracts, including but not limited to: Project schedules and duration Schedule of values Submittals Insurance and bonding requirements Draw requests Change orders Green certifications Close-outs and cost certifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
  • 4 years of experience in project management within construction.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training.
  • Calculator, computer, computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, VMWare, and other applicable computer software), mobile phone, fax machine, copier, scanner, telephone, postage machine, and other modern business office equipment.
  • Ability to comply with the Authority's and Department's technical standards.
  • Ability to concurrently execute multiple projects and work under pressure within established timeframes.
  • Comfortable reading and understanding drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
  • A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
  • Excels in organization, time management, and problem solving.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Products, including office and windows and other products.
  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and persons outside the Authority.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license.
