Procon now seeks a Construction Project Manager. The Ideal candidate will support the staff in the management of the construction project This role requires various skills and experience as listed below.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field (required).
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience managing large public-sector construction projects, including convention centers, state or municipal buildings, hospitality or comparable facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of state procurement laws, construction contracts (e.g., CM-at-Risk, Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build), and public-sector reporting procedures.
  • Ability to facilitate quality assurance tasks in the field including inspection of work in progress, facilitation of preparatory, initial and follow up meetings, and documentation of worker activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with projects exceeding $20 million in construction value, large infrastructure upgrades, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing specific renovation projects, or active hospitality or conferencing spaces preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of major projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Manage all project activities including scope, schedule, cost, and quality control.
  • Coordinate and direct architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor construction progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and state/federal regulations.
  • Review design and construction documents to verify constructability and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Administer project contracts, including change orders, claims, and closeout documentation.
  • Facilitate coordination among design teams, contractors, and government agencies.
