About The Position

VIRSIG, LLC is a values-driven organization focused on serving the war fighter and supporting federal, state, and local government agencies. They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple federal construction projects, specifically supporting the Department of War and other federal, state, and local government missions. This is a high impact leadership role responsible for full lifecycle project execution, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements. This position is structured to provide flexibility, allowing remote work when not required on site, with the expectation of periodic site visits and engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 plus years of construction project management experience
  • Minimum 5 plus years managing federal construction projects as a Project Manager
  • Minimum 3 plus years supporting projects on active DoW installations
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong working knowledge of: Federal acquisition and contracting including FAR and DFARS
  • Strong working knowledge of: USACE project delivery processes including EM 385-1-1 safety requirements and 3 phase QC inspections
  • Strong working knowledge of: Construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of: Cost management, forecasting, and financial controls
  • Experience developing Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and other hazard specific safety plans as well as QA/QC plans, traffic or site disturbance plans, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing cross functional teams including field and remote personnel
  • Ability to operate in fast paced, compliance driven environments
  • Experience reviewing detailed architectural plans to include construction, assembly, utility, and other trade specific engineering design drawings, with the ability to assess and track field progress against approved drawings
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • U.S. Citizenship required for federal and base access

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Project Management Professional PMP certification
  • USACE Construction Quality Management CQM
  • Experience managing design build construction projects
  • Experience supporting secure or classified environments
  • Familiarity with EM 385 1 1 safety requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall project execution across multiple concurrent construction efforts
  • Manage project lifecycle including planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, and closeout
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with government clients, contracting officers, and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements including FAR, DFARS, and Davis Bacon
  • Coordinate with onsite Superintendents, QCMs, and SSHOs to ensure field execution aligns with project objectives
  • Develop, review, and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
  • Track financial performance, cost controls, and profitability across projects
  • Lead project reporting including executive updates, forecasts, and client deliverables
  • Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and constraints proactively
  • Support business development and capture efforts as needed
