About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager that will be responsible for the onsite management and delivery of healthcare construction projects from construction start through closeout. This role is field-based and stationed full-time at the project site, providing direct leadership to Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and field inspectors while coordinating with contractors, designers, hospital stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, from initiation to execution and completion.
  • Manage day-to-day onsite construction activities for healthcare projects, ensuring adherence to contract documents, schedules, and budgets.
  • Drive project management team in coordinating construction activities and meetings full-time onsite to ensure successful and timely project completion.
  • Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved on the project(s).
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the CM team to manage documents like RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Maintain good working relationships and close interface with the client by ensuring that inquiries and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Lead a team of construction management staff consisting of assistant project manager, inspectors. Also provide coordination with other project stakeholders including but not limited to the client, design team, subconsultants. Assign tasks to the CM team, set expectations, and ensure effective field coverage and reporting.
  • Proactively identify problems or opportunities at the project level, analyze potential risks and seek to develop alternative mitigation approaches.
  • Maintain effective communication with the leadership to provide project updates, and address concerns.
