About The Position

This role is for a Project Manager with strong fast-track retail construction experience, responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate understands the urgency and complexity of retail work, including tight timelines, active environments, and high client expectations. The Project Manager will take full ownership of projects, managing schedules, budgets, and client relationships while ensuring execution stays on track. This opportunity is suited for a PM who thrives in fast-paced environments and can deliver under pressure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in fast-track retail construction
  • Strong ability to manage compressed schedules and high-pressure timelines
  • Experience in preconstruction, including budgeting, scheduling, and scope development
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Comfortable with construction management software and digital collaboration tools
  • Must be based in Minnesota or relocating to the Twin Cities area

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in live or occupied retail environments preferred
  • Multi-site or national rollout experience is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead retail construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Own project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance
  • Manage preconstruction efforts including budgeting, scheduling, scope review, and risk identification
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and project timelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams
  • Support post-completion service and client follow-through as needed

Benefits

  • Base salary: $95,000 – $130,000
  • Performance bonus potential: 5% – 15%
  • Total compensation potential up to $145,000
  • Additional benefits provided upon advancement in the process
