Established to support Motorola Solutions construction for the Tennessee TACN Project, the construction management team focuses on building collaborative partnerships and meeting shared objectives. We are dedicated to gaining trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity while delivering consistent, cost-effective civil design and implementation. By utilizing standardized processes, we strive to enhance our construction position and ensure total customer satisfaction. Performing site inspections and assessments for both existing and upcoming facilities. Conducting constructability reviews for current sites and new greenfield locations. Determining appropriate sizes for communication shelters, towers, and power systems—including DC plants, UPS, and generators—based on specific equipment rack layouts and load requirements for lines, antennas, and dishes. Acting as a clear and professional primary contact for consultants and customers regarding Motorola’s Site Design and Integration services, which include: Selection and constructability evaluation of sites Mitigation and evaluation of project risks Leasing and site acquisition Representation at zoning meetings Engineering and architectural design services Regulatory and environmental compliance (FCC, FAA, FEMA, NEPA) Co-location and renovation of existing buildings End-to-end site construction and design Management of construction activities Design and build-out of dispatch centers Mobile/transportable infrastructure solutions Adherence to R56 guidelines and site safety standards Collaborating with Motorola Engineering teams to articulate requirements for microwave/fiber connectivity, equipment power/cooling loads, and backup power needs. Supporting Project Managers by developing bid packages, reviewing subcontractor takeoffs, and assessing change order risks. These are long-term career opportunities with a global communications leader, specifically focused on expanding the Consultant Construction Management team for the TACN Project.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in heavy industrial/commercial construction or telecom project management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, topographic surveys, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry codes including ANSI/TIA-222, NFPA/NEC, ACI, ASTM, IBC, and OSHA.
  • 5+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, Construction, Motorola equipment, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, Customer Management or Military experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Travel up to 75% for training and customer support.
  • Must have a current, valid driver’s license and no traffic violations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communications skills, both orally and written.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and always present a professional image.

Responsibilities

  • Performing site inspections and assessments for both existing and upcoming facilities.

  • Collaborating with Motorola Engineering teams to articulate requirements for microwave/fiber connectivity, equipment power/cooling loads, and backup power needs.
  • Supporting Project Managers by developing bid packages, reviewing subcontractor takeoffs, and assessing change order risks.
  • Maintaining balanced relationships between vendors, customers, and consultants.
  • Developing scopes of work and coordinating with contractors for accurate cost estimation.
  • Creating innovative placement solutions for equipment on water tanks, rooftops, and established facilities.
  • Owning civil requirements for the project lifecycle to ensure on-time, under-budget delivery and customer satisfaction.
