About The Position

We're looking for a dynamic Construction Project Manager to join our team and help us rapidly restore properties to their pre-loss condition, minimizing repairs and downtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of experience managing construction or restoration projects and supervising crews.
Advanced knowledge of building construction, remodeling, or restoration is essential.
Financial Acumen: Understand financial reports and budgeting, and effectively assess job performance for improvements.
Technical Skills: Proficient technical skills in the company’s service areas with relevant certifications.
Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills to plan manpower, project completion times, and job costs.
Negotiation Skills: Win advocates, not enemies, in negotiations.
Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Xactimate software.
Listening Skills: Effectively receive feedback and input from customers and employees, probing for additional information and responding timely.
Oral Communication: Clearly and persuasively communicate in positive or negative situations, adapting as needed.
Written Communication: Write clear, precise, and organized estimates, proposals, and emails. Excellent spelling, vocabulary, and grammar.
Team Building: Foster team spirit and effective relationships with peers, subordinates, and subcontractors.
Planning and Organizing: See projects from start to finish, creating and coordinating timelines and resources.

Responsibilities

Estimate Management: Meet or exceed targets for responding to and completing loss estimates.
Vendor Relations: Maintain strategic relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Profitability: Achieve or surpass profitability targets on managed projects.
Project Execution: Plan and execute projects to completion, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Contracts and Payments: Obtain written contracts and payment terms for projects.
Documentation: Maintain efficient and accurate flow of production paperwork from the job site to administration.
Resource Coordination: Plan resources, including technicians, laborers, and subcontractors, in coordination with the scheduler.
Equipment Tracking: Track equipment used on company jobs.
Technology Leadership: Implement state-of-the-art technology to maintain market leadership in service delivery.
Subcontractor Estimates: Coordinate and review estimates from subcontractors.
Job Estimates: Write job estimates in Xactimate.
Material Management: Order and coordinate delivery of materials required for projects.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with customers and all involved parties, including third-party owners, building engineers, property managers, tenants, etc.
Inspections: Perform property inspections and complete reports.
Maintain project files.
Attend and assist in conducting company meetings.
Perform production work as needed.
Conduct minor repairs on company equipment and vehicles.
Schedule service vehicles and technicians.
Manage project budgets.
