About The Position

Jim Cooley Construction LLC headquartered in Oklahoma City, currently has an opening for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from start to completion successfully on time and on budget. This includes developing project schedules, processing submittals, RFIs, and change estimates, reviewing technical submittal information and testing reports, identifying critical path items, supervising field management progress, resolving technical issues, and coordinating related meetings. The Project Manager will also attend progress meetings, conduct pencil draft applications for payment review and adjustments, finalize monthly applications for payment, and submit them for formal approval. Additionally, the Project Manager will supervise the Superintendent-Field Manager in completing daily logs, timesheets, and other field reports, develop rapport and maintain communication with customers, design teams, and all subcontractors, and maintain daily communication with the Project Management team. Other responsibilities include administrating subcontractor, vendor, consultant, and supplier agreements, supervising, approving, and processing vendor payment applications, verifying stored materials and insurances, supporting the Field Manager in three look-ahead scheduling and schedule compliance, resolving any subcontractor or supplier performance issues, and monitoring and tracking expenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree plus 5 years of experience; or, 10 years of construction management experience in Public Works/ Commercial / Federal Construction.
  • Note any PM, CM, Leed, DBIA, CSI Certifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with solid planning and organizational skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of on time performance, managing expenditures & positive customer relations.
  • Complete understanding of design specifications, drawings and project documentation.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, Safety and First Aid regulations and standards.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in Primavera, Microsoft Project, ProCore, EpM or other construction management software is a strong advantage.
  • Candidate must pass Department of Homeland Security background check and drug test.
  • List any prior federal agency construction experience, as CM, contractor or customer rep.
