About The Position

We are seeking two (2) Construction Project Managers to join our team at Multnomah County's Department of County Assets Facilities and Property Management Division (FPM). This role is ideal for experienced professionals who have a strong understanding of project development, planning, capital maintenance, building renovations, and potentially tenant improvements. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering quality work on schedule and within budget, managing a variety of construction projects that support the efficient, safe, and effective delivery of programs and services for the residents of Multnomah County. The Facilities and Property Management Division oversees over 3.1 million net square feet of owned and leased building space. The Capital Improvement team provides project services for building improvement projects across a portfolio of over 130 buildings, including jails, health and dental clinics, libraries, courts, warehouses, and administrative offices. Projects typically valued under $600,000 may occasionally reach several million dollars. The Construction Project Managers will develop, plan, and coordinate the construction of capital maintenance and building renovation projects, ensuring compliance with public contracting rules and regulations. Key responsibilities include project planning, writing scope of work descriptions, managing project budgets, and overseeing consultant selection. The role also involves coordinating with architects, consultants, and FPM trade crews to ensure project documents align with Multnomah County specifications. Construction management duties will require monitoring project budgets and schedules, reviewing change requests, and coordinating building permits and inspections. The Construction Project Managers will act as key liaisons with County departments, ensuring effective communication and project coordination throughout the construction process.
