About The Position

The Construction Project Manager for MEP Projects at the University of Pittsburgh is responsible for managing capital and in-house projects during the design and construction phases. The role ensures that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and within scope, while also coordinating effectively across multiple teams. This position focuses on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects, particularly for the School of Medicine, and includes oversight of infrastructure renovations and building controls upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, particularly in construction or related fields.
• Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and in-house projects during the design and construction phases.
• Ensure project completion within budget, on schedule, and within scope.
• Determine client needs and develop project designs and timelines.
• Monitor and forecast project budgets.
• Supervise contractual matters related to projects.
• Coordinate project activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee the design and construction of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects for the School of Medicine and other educational and housing buildings.
