About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager IV to be based in Douglas, AZ. This position requires someone who can confidently support a high profile complex multi-year project managing the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management. The Construction Project Manager will provide embedded on-site PM/CM support for a Federal LPOE (Land Port of Entry) modernization construction project located at the Raul Hector Castro LPOE in Douglas Arizona. This role involves coordinating AECOM staff and specialty inspectors, providing oversight and technical quality review of the I/QAM work, and monitoring and reporting on quality and progress to the AECOM Project Manager and GSA Project Team. The Construction Project Manager must lead the integrated collaborative team that supports the Owner's interests and shall possess an architectural, engineering, or construction background, and have previous experience on projects of similar size and complexity.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience in developing and maintaining complex, long-term, multi-year project management activities.
  • Proven experience performing and supporting the successful completion of similar projects in comparable environments and conditions.
  • Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects.
  • Ability to safely move throughout an active construction job site, and in a harsh environment.
  • A valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Engineering Certification, License or Architectural Registration.
  • Federal (or state/municipal) governmental experience.
  • Experience with Land Port of Entry (LPOE), Air Port of entry, embassy/military base or federal secure compound/facility.
  • Experience supporting and/or managing complex projects as a Construction Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of planning and procurement phase management, design phase management, construction phase management, closeout and warranty phase management.
  • Familiarity with accepted severe/hot-weather buildings practices, materials and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management of the project.

  • Develop and control budgets and funding strategies.
  • Schedule and coordinate project interactions among existing and occupied facilities.
  • Manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals.
  • Integrate competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes.
