About The Position

Earth Systems Response & Restoration, an environmental consulting and remediation firm, is seeking a Construction Project Manager I to support field execution of environmental remediation and environmental construction projects. This role serves as a front-line field and project support professional, assisting senior construction managers and project managers with the implementation of remediation and construction activities. Work is performed within a consulting-driven environment where projects are executed in alignment with engineering design, regulatory requirements, and client objectives. This is a hybrid role with remote flexibility when not in the field; however, it requires frequent travel to project sites and the ability to report to Austin or Midland offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in environmental remediation, environmental construction, or environmental consulting field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and remediation plans
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel frequently and work in field environments

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation of environmental remediation construction projects under the direction of project managers and engineers
  • Support excavation, soil handling, waste management, and site restoration activities
  • Assist with installation of remediation systems including groundwater treatment and soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems
  • Follow engineering plans, specifications, and remedial action implementation strategies
  • Support field activities alongside senior staff and site leadership
  • Assist with coordination of field logistics including materials, equipment, and workforce scheduling
  • Track daily field productivity and remediation progress
  • Communicate field updates to project managers, engineers, and operations teams
  • Support compliance with CERCLA, RCRA corrective action programs, and state cleanup programs
  • Assist with soil management, waste characterization, and environmental monitoring
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, daily reports, and project records in alignment with consulting and regulatory standards
  • Follow OSHA safety policies and HAZWOPER requirements
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, JSAs, and hazard assessments
  • Ensure proper PPE use and safe work practices on all project sites
