The position involves leading all new construction and remodeling projects for designated areas within the Sanford organization. Responsibilities include project design, estimating, project management, purchasing, cost accounting, and code compliance. The role also requires overseeing construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs, and contract requirements are adhered to.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field required.
  • Three years' experience managing construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, mechanical and electrical, and HVAC building systems.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of design principles, scheduling, construction means and methods, and codes.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and manage schedules and critical timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with architects, contractors, and vendors.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Leads all new construction and remodeling projects for designated areas within the Sanford organization.
  • Oversees all phases in the project life cycle including pre-design, programming, design, construction, and occupancy phases.
  • Effectively communicates and advises end-users on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Reviews contractor and architectural drawings for code compliance and Sanford design standards.
  • Maintains compliance with safety, asbestos, infection control, and other applicable policies.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Develops and designs feasibility studies for review.
