Requirements

  • Associate's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
  • Eight years of professional engineering and/or construction management experience relevant to the area of assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Design, or closely related field.
  • Current State of Florida registration as a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design development, and construction administration for various projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of the budget for capital expenditures and required documents for project closure.
  • Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies, submitting technical and management reports.
  • Meet with consultants, contractors, and various stakeholders to discuss project progress and issues.
  • Monitor and manage Consultant and Construction Agreements, ensuring compliance with design standards and accuracy.
  • Coordinate bid advertisements and assist in evaluating bids for contract awards.
  • Prepare schedules and monitor construction progress, including change orders and payment records.
  • Inspect projects for substantial completion and prepare punch lists for deficiencies.
  • Arrange for correction of defects during the warranty period and conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
