About The Position

Sodexo is supporting a largescale capital program at Western Kentucky University (WKU) involving repairs to two recently built residence halls and the demolition of a third. This Construction Project Manager role formalizes the Owner’s Representative function by providing disciplined documentation, project controls, extensive record keeping. The primary charter is to build, maintain, and reconcile the complete project file across platforms used by the Construction Management firm and Design Team ( Procore, Excel, Word, Primavera P6), produce timely executive level reporting and operate strictly within code and Sodexo standards. Valid Driver's License with clear background required.

Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in project controls (cost tracking, forecasting, change management).
  • Intermediate+ Microsoft Office skills, with expert-level Excel and PowerPoint for dashboards, analytics, and executive presentations.
  • Proficiency with CM tools and scheduling platforms such as Primavera P6.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts; working knowledge of AIA contract structures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and administrative rigor; clear, articulate communication with professional polish and executive presence.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services

Responsibilities

  • Operate as Owner's Representative
  • Collaborate with the Resident District Manager, Designers, Construction Management team and owners to keep the projects aligned and moving ahead on schedule
  • Read and understand construction design documents, plans, prints and specifications
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive, current project record across construction history and design (Procore, Excel, Word), ensuring airtight document control.
  • Reconstruct the past project record with precise provenance and audit trails.
  • Track schedules and critical path (Primavera P6), enforce milestones, and remain proactive in conflict resolution.
  • Prepare concise executive reports and presentations highlighting progress decisions, risks, and financials.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation (budgets, commitments, change orders, pay applications) and support negotiations.
  • Coordinate professionally with the Resident District Manager, Design Team, and engineers to keep work aligned—Operating within role boundaries.
  • Administer contract documents (including AIA forms), logs, approvals, and decision records; uphold tight record-keeping and audit-ready standards at all times.
