The duties of this position are performed remotely at district locations, as well as our central office in Salem. In addition, the ability to report to Salem and district locations is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Architecture, Planning or Engineering; AND three years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept
  • OR
  • An Associate Degree (or comparable course work) in Architectural, Construction or Engineering Technology; AND four and one-half years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept
  • OR
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept.
  • Note: Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to use discretionary authority in committing agency funds and resources in matters relating to Department facilities in support of capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, estimate and schedule architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other related professional services.
  • Assist in the maintaining of the the statewide facilities asset information system to manage facilities condition, deferred maintenance, and energy conservation data.
  • Survey buildings and facilities to determine the condition of building systems, recommend corrective actions, estimate costs to correct deficiencies, and prioritize projects.
  • Gather data, prepare technical and cost reports, and respond to facilities related inquiries.
