The Oregon Department of Corrections' Facilities Services is actively recruiting for a Construction Project Manager 2. This position is a limited duration anticipated to last 2 years, though, may be extended or decreased due to business need. Internal candidates may be considered as a job rotation with their current manager's approval (applications without approval will be rejected). This position is approved for a hybrid work schedule but will be required to report to the office as necessary. As the Construction Project Manager 2, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all construction contract documentation. In this role you, you will be responsible for providing construction contract administration and managing large-scale Capital Construction projects ($1,000, 000+) and Capital Improvement projects (less than $1,000,000). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction methods, project management techniques, and public works contracting laws. You may be assigned responsibility for managing several projects with varying scope, size and timing, and multiple customer agencies. Most of the tasks performed are proprietary in nature as opposed to regulatory or governmental, and you must utilize communications skills to persuade and influence customer agencies, consulting architects and engineers, general and subcontractors, and Department officials.
