About The Position

The Construction Project Executive is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project administration staff and construction engineers, collaborating with project superintendents, and ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines. The executive will also handle problem resolution related to labor disputes, materials, and contracts, while fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders in the construction process.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or as a project executive.
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
  • Experience in multiple fields of construction.
  • Proficient in reviewing and understanding construction documents including specifications and drawings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from start to finish.
  • Supervise project administration staff and construction engineers.
  • Work with project superintendents to establish operational priorities.
  • Forecast, track, and report project costs and revenue, ensuring adherence to estimates.
  • Resolve problems involving labor disputes, staffing, materials, and contracts.
  • Assist with the pre-qualification process for bidders and develop RFPs/RFQs.
  • Coordinate with the construction Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
  • Maintain documentation such as RFI logs and change orders.
  • Develop strong relationships with superintendents, subcontractors, and assistant project managers.
