About The Position

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified resilient Construction Project Controls to provide embedded on-site PM/CM support for a Federal LPOE (Land Port of Entry) modernization construction project. Project is located at the Raul Hector Castro LPOE in Douglas Arizona, and the position is fulltime embedded at the project site. This opening is a multi-year full-time embedded on-site field construction support role serving as Construction Project Manager / Owner's Representative. Responsible for managing a singular high profile complex multi-year project embedded at the project site to achieve specified objectives. Provides objective analysis and sound judgement with application of principles and techniques to evaluate and report project performance from concept study to construction & startup including practical assessment of schedule completion and expected final cost. This position will support the work of the AECOM Project Manager and Inspector / Quality Assurance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience performing in this role long-term, multi-year project management activities.
  • Proven experience performing and supporting the successful completion of similar projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or construction management from an accredited college/university.
  • Professional organization certifications are a plus.
  • Federal (or state/municipal) governmental experience.
  • Experience with Land Port of Entry (LPOE), Air Port of entry, embassy/military base or federal secure compound/facility.
  • Experience in remote, off-grid, limited access site locations, arctic/sub-arctic, extreme environments.
  • Familiarity with construction principles, practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

  • Developing and controlling budgets and funding strategies.
  • Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among existing and occupied facilities.
  • Managing interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
  • Integrating competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes.
  • Providing controls and administrative support for an integrated collaborative team.
  • Supporting the delivery of a functionally and financially viable project.
  • Participating on integrated collaborative teams executing construction phase CM/PM support services.
  • Managing closeout and warranty phase management.
