Requirements

  • Must live in the Greater Salt Lake City area.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a laptop and phone for work use and the ability to download apps for time tracking and other systems as needed.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more) and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently and conversationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a handyperson or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in basic repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Contractor and Design team with repairs and general maintenance.
  • Address minor plumbing issues, such as leaky faucets or clogged drains.
  • Handle electrical repairs, like replacing outlets or fixing lighting fixtures.
  • Perform basic sheetrock & drywall repairs and painting repairs.
  • Install new equipment, furniture, and appliances.
  • Securely hang and mount various items on walls with proper alignment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas.
  • Help with general cleaning tasks, especially in areas requiring repairs or maintenance.
  • Keep records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with management about ongoing projects and needs.
  • Perform landscaping or outdoor maintenance as needed.
  • Interact with clients and vendors, providing support and sharing all communications with the internal team.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergency maintenance issues, such as water leaks or electrical outages.
