About The Position

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our NACC Construction team in Denver, CO. The Construction Procurement Manager leads sourcing, negotiation, and contract administration for materials, equipment, and trade services across preconstruction and active projects. This role ensures timely, cost effective, and compliant procurement while proactively mitigating risk, optimizing supplier performance, and maintaining project schedules. The ideal candidate thrives amid pressure and will be able to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, resolve conflicts constructively, and uphold professional standards in a challenging industry.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a Construction Procurement role including experience as a Buyer, Expeditor and Project Procurement Manager role.
  • Experience working with Supplier's and internal legal representatives negotiating services contracts and purchase terms & conditions.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, manages supplier relationships, and supervises a team of buyers to achieve cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Advanced Excel, PDF and ERP proficiency (e.g., Deltek, SAP, JD Edwards)
  • Clear, concise, and calm under pressure across functions and with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end contracting, sourcing, and materials management for capital EPC projects.
  • Support development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with project and organizational goals.
  • Build, mentor, and guide the buying/procurement team to ensure strong performance and capability growth.
  • Ensure compliant, on‑time, and cost‑effective delivery of all goods and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Safety teams.
  • Drive governance and ensure alignment with procedures, insurance, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Promote a high‑urgency, high‑accuracy culture suited to a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute purchase orders and contracts that align with internal requirements and prime contract Terms & Conditions.
  • Support negotiation and resolution of discrepancies, claims, and disputes.
  • Maintain thorough records, documentation, and backup materials required under contract obligations.
