About The Position

We are seeking a Plumbing Estimator with a strong background in plumbing and construction to join a growing team in Palm City. This role is ideal for a seasoned or retired plumber who has hands-on field experience and a deep knowledge of plumbing codes, but is ready to bring that expertise into the office to support estimating and project planning. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate plumbing estimates for commercial and residential construction projects.

Requirements

Proven plumbing experience (licensed plumber or retired journeyman/master plumber highly preferred)
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and standards
Desire and ability to transition into (or grow in) estimating within construction
Proficiency with basic computer skills; familiarity with estimating software a plus (e.g., Bluebeam, Trimble, FastPIPE)
Strong math and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications

Responsibilities

Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials
Develop detailed cost estimates, bids, and proposals for plumbing projects
Analyze labor, materials, and equipment costs to prepare competitive estimates
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to clarify project requirements
Ensure all estimates comply with local, state, and national plumbing codes
Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships for accurate pricing
Assist in value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
