About The Position

As a member of the Construction Pipeline Maintenance Crew, you will work with a safety-first team to complete under/above ground utility construction projects. These positions can be physically demanding and involves working in a typically heavy outdoor construction environment. These roles are considered variable-hour and may have a rotating break between projects. IAG is hiring entry level and skilled candidates for the following positions: Construction Laborer, Equipment Operator, Construction Crew Member, Construction Foreman, Construction Superintendent.

Requirements

  • Crew Member, Labor: Entry level 0-6 months or more in similar role.
  • Equipment Operator: 1+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment (backhoes, skid steers, excavators).
  • Foreman: 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Superintendent: 6+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Current Driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction job sites.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to adhere to a written method or procedure.
  • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products, including email.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Roles and Responsibilities will be determined by job and project.
  • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Actively participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
  • Communicate with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
  • All other duties as assigned.
