About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Construction Phase Services (CPS) Site Lead to join the Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC) team for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) project. In this role, you will provide critical support to the CPS Lead for Cosburn Station and Bain EEB, serving as a key point of contact for site activities. As the CPS Site Lead, you will be responsible for observing, documenting, and verifying that all construction activities are executed in accordance with Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, specifications, and the overall design intent. Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, or Construction Engineering Technology
3-6 years of relevant inspection or field engineering experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects such as transit, tunnels, stations, or bridges
Working knowledge of CSA, OPSS, and relevant municipal or provincial standards
Familiarity with design review and ESDC processes in a consulting engineering environment
Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete structures, excavation support systems, and underground utilities
Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, large-scale project environment
Strong ability to multi-task under pressure and time constraints to meet various deadlines while maintaining keen attention to detail
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word and Excel, including experience with tracking software
G License is required

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough site inspections of construction works related to Cosburn Station and Bain EEB.
Monitor construction activities to ensure they align with IFC drawings, technical specifications, and all relevant standards.
Record and document all hold points, witness points, and inspections as required by ESDC procedures
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports, including photographic records and comprehensive site observations.
Develop and maintain inspection and progress trackers
Communicate field observations, identify non-conformances, and raise any potential design-related issues to the Engineer of Record (EOR) and project team.
Coordinate with the contractor's representatives to facilitate inspections, resolve queries, and support the resolution of design clarifications, such as RFIs, NCRs, and Field Change Requests.
Participate in regular site coordination and progress meetings, providing valuable input on design-related construction matters.
Support the design team by reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure they are consistent with observed site conditions.
