RES is looking for an Operator I to join our restoration and construction field team! As an Operator I, you will play a key role in executing high-quality construction tasks on restoration and infrastructure projects. You'll operate a variety of construction equipment, assist with grading and elevation setting, and contribute to the daily implementation of site plans. This is a mid-level operator position, ideal for someone with solid construction experience who is ready to take on more autonomy and help support team communication and task execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of construction experience.
  • 1+ year of experience operating construction equipment.
  • Strong familiarity with safety practices and PPE.
  • Experience setting grades with smooth transitions and low tolerances (within 0.2 ft).
  • Ability to read project plans and implement them in the field.
  • Basic experience with GPS and grading tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience training others on safe equipment use and task procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of construction equipment in challenging environments.
  • Review construction plans and mobilize assigned equipment.
  • Set grades and install features according to site plans.
  • Complete equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
  • Ensure site safety protocols are followed.
  • Train newer crew members in safe practices.
  • Communicate with team members and monitor work against project specifications.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks in various terrain and weather.
