Requirements

2 Years of Experience Required.

Responsibilities

Operates automatic tools and equipment Uses drills, saws, skill saws, nail guns, belt sander, hammer drill, table saws, miter saw, salt spreader, router, drill press, welder and cutting torches. Operates snowplow, tractor and company vehicles.
Performs renovations and alterations to the hospital such as wallpaper, carpet, drywall and painting
Performs prep work for walls and floors including scrapping and priming. Hangs wallpaper. Paints surfaces. Lays carpet and floor tiles. Installs and paints door frames. Removes thermostat covers, light fixtures, and outlets. Reads blue prints and diagrams to construct new walls and ceilings. Installs wiring (phone, computer, electrical), and plumbing, Performs drywall work as needed which includes hanging, replacing, and finishing, Repairs parking lot with asphalt and concrete as needed.
Follows regulations as required by building trades
Adheres to fire codes, construction regulations, MSDS sheets, and electrical lockouts
Works as part of department fire team
Responds immediately to area that is inflamed. Arrives with fire extinguisher and will extinguish as needed. Assist with the evacuation of patients as needed. Assist in re-opening fire doors.
Assist with routine hospital maintenance
Completes work orders for all departments of the hospital to include, but not limited to, repair or replacement of beds, TV's, nurse call units, filters, doors, ceiling tiles, commodes, sinks, light bulbs and oxygen tanks. Performs snow removal, storage of Christmas decorations, and assists with helicopter when landing. Assist in powerhouse duties as needed.
