Conduct sampling and testing of asphalt, concrete, and soil, along with field inspections of various construction activities such as pile driving, paving, and earthwork operations. Support the development of junior technicians through training and mentorship. Field Testing- Perform on-site testing of construction materials like soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Collect samples during construction activities (e.g., concrete pours, soil compaction). Laboratory Testing- Analyze material samples in a lab to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards. Common tests include compressive strength of concrete, soil gradation, and asphalt content. Inspection & Documentation - Inspect construction practices to verify compliance with engineering plans and specifications. Document test results and observations in detailed reports for engineers, contractors, and clients. Compliance & Safety - Ensure materials and construction methods comply with local building codes, DOT standards, and project requirements. Help identify potential issues early to prevent structural failures or costly rework.
