Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager to run their geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in the Las Vegas, Nevada office. The successful candidate will be required to be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standard test methods for all tests performed by a lab including those performed by asphalt, concrete and soils technician. The role involves supervision and mentorship of laboratory staff, maintaining proper and complete laboratory data, lab certification and maintenance, equipment management (maintain/purchase), budget control, workflow management, and clear communication with the Project Manager regarding all aspects of laboratory operations, including providing neat and orderly project documentation.
Requirements
- Soil, asphalt & concrete testing experience or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Good organizational skills
- Strong work ethic
- Current valid driver’s license
- ACI certifications: Concrete Strength Testing Technician, Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1, Aggregate Base Testing Technician, Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2, and Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician
- Have or be able to obtain NAQTC Sampling and Density, Aggregate, Asphalt and Asphalt Extended tests
