Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Manager to run our geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in our Phoenix, Arizona office. The successful candidate will: Ensure thorough knowledge and proper application of standard test methods for asphalt, concrete, and soils testing Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff Maintain accurate and complete laboratory data and documentation Oversee laboratory certification, maintenance, and quality control Maintain and purchase laboratory equipment as needed Manage laboratory budget and control costs Oversee workflow and ensure efficient daily operations Communicate clearly with Project Managers regarding all aspects of lab activities Provide organized and orderly project documentation
Requirements
- Experience in soils, asphalt, and concrete testing (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
- R.G., P.G., or equivalent experience
- ACI Certifications: Concrete Strength Testing Technician Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 Aggregate Base Testing Technician Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2 Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician
- ATTI Certifications: Asphalt Soils/Aggregate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and positive attitude
- Proven work ethic and reliability
- Must hold a valid driver’s license

- Professional registrations or certifications preferred
Responsibilities
