About The Position

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for an Onsite Laboratory Technician to perform testing, and provide coordination, quality management, and oversight to its lab in Seattle, WA. This position is full-time temporary with an opportunity to convert to a full-time regular position after 2 months. The Technician will perform testing on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes. The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong initiative and detail-oriented.
• General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 certification.
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2 certification.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the laboratory.
• Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Conduct testing on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials.
• Provide coordination, quality management, and oversight to the lab.
• Perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
