The position involves observing and documenting field activities related to the construction process. Responsibilities include sampling, testing, and inspecting various materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement. The role also requires performing calculations and data reduction of test results, drafting, and using field screening equipment to document readings. Additionally, the candidate will need to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans while interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. The goal is to gain the confidence to be the sole representative of ECS on project sites.
