Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work in outdoor environments
  • Interest in construction materials, mining, or infrastructure projects
  • Computer skills required, social media proficiency a plus.
  • Written and Intrapersonal Communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of construction industry
  • Ability to work under pressure, deal with budgets, and tight project schedules
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Business, Civil Engineering or related
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Attention and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Suncore mission (Building a Better Community) and core values (We Value People, Our Word is Our Bond, Always Give a Full Measure, We Continuously Improve).
  • Assist location operation managers to plan and review daily work and make business process improvements as directed by the Area Manager
  • Assist with daily business duties, including, preparing material price quotes, sampling materials, preparing submittal information for projects, coordinating logistics with suppliers and data entry into key systems
  • Assist with daily operations at aggregate pits or construction material facilities
  • Support quality control sampling and testing of sand, gravel, and other construction materials
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records related to production, sales and inventory
  • Assist with equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance tracking
  • Support site supervisors with project coordination and operational tasks
  • Observe and participate in safety meetings, safety inspections, and hazard identification
  • Learn industry standards, specifications, and best practices for construction materials
  • Help track production data and assist with basic reporting or KPI tracking
  • Assist in asset management and integration into maintenance program
  • Maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
