About The Position

HomeRiver Group is looking for a Remote/WFH construction manager to join their team. The Construction Manager is responsible for providing a full range of construction management services for the properties in Construction. Through physical inspection of the home the Construction Manager develops a specific recommended plan of action for capital Improvement, repair, restoration, remodeling and other construction-related projects. In routine and emergency situations, the Construction Manager serves as the on-site expert in identifying the scope of work, generating cost estimates, and establishing priorities in the workflow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience in the construction renovation segment of Single Family Residential or SFR management is required.
  • 1-3 years' experience supervising or leading work teams
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Solid quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills
  • Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for the operations that are innovative and support the organization's vision
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences including customers, front line managers, and C-Suite leaders
  • Team-Oriented and enthusiasm to work with other executives to achieve shared business goals

Responsibilities

  • Responsible directly or through Project Managers for the entire range of activities included within the area of Construction administration.
  • Bid Package Preparation: includes site inspections with, where appropriate, contractors, Government agency representatives and insurance company representatives. The inspection, with applicable standards, facilitates the development of the Scope of Work, specifications and any appropriate drawings or other documentation.
  • Contract Award: Directs the advertising of the bid, bid analysis, contractor evaluation and forwards the bid for HRG approval. Schedules the project in conjunction with the Contractor(s) and other parties. Directs the preparation and execution of contract documents using the applicable contract model.
  • Contract Administration: Responsible for project inspections, change-order administration, Contractor payments and coordination of contractors and subcontractors after award of contract.
  • Contract Close-out: Responsible for the final project inspection, punch lists, verification and collection of all required tests, reports, approvals, warranty documents, lien waiver and authorization of final payments. Required to complete and distribute, in a timely manner, a variety of documents relating to projects under construction and management, including but not limited to project cost reimbursements, requests, contractor pay requests, project summary reports, project files, billing and departmental Status reports.
