About the position

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for a Construction Manager, to coordinate certain portions of the administration of the project such as cost control, document control, contract changes, shop drawings, etc. You may be responsible for certain subcontractors or parts of a large project and can perform some basic project management functions. On a daily basis, you will monitor the physical construction of the project through daily coordination of all field activities, subcontractor direction, and code/specification compliance. This position is located as a client site in Marlborough, MA. No per diem will be offered.

Responsibilities

  • Technical input for schedule creation, subcontracting strategy, subcontractor scopes of work, quality of construction, schedule adherence, budget containment, safety, selection of methods, systems, and techniques of construction, and labor cost control.
  • Responsible for the daily field construction of multiple minor projects (<$500K) in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company and client.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience within industrial plants.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction and safety activities as they relate to industrial plant construction, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of technical vocabularies and terminology common to construction industry.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheets and applications.
  • Ability to develop and analyze information for studies and reports.
  • Demonstrated skills in data reporting and entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain positive relationship through daily communication with the client.
