Construction Manager

APTIM is seeking a Construction Manager to lead tank and seal repair projects across California refineries. This role combines hands-on project execution with client relationship management and business development support. Requirements
- 5+ years of construction management experience (industrial/refinery preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to interact well in a dynamic office team environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from initial walkdowns through completion
- Attend client walkdowns on current or potential scopes
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and schedules across multiple sites
- Assist with scoping as needed with clients and APTIM
- Work with site supervision to identify scope of work changes and ensure proper communication about changes take place
- Participate in estimate reviews
- Procure material and fabrication through the APTIM requisition system
- Participate in bi-weekly financial reviews and weekly reviews of billable and non-billable spending
- Understand project schedules / deliverable dates and help drive APTIM sites to meet or exceed expectations
- Assist sites with manpower needs and communicate with Local Halls as needed
- Ensure sites are provided with up-to-date work packages, drawings, or scoping details -- help manage documents/files
- Participate in cultivating new business opportunities / Help sale APTIM services to existing and new clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Conduct site safety audits and uphold safety and quality standards
- Participate in both APTIM and client safety audits
